Overbrook Gardens & Englewood Isles

Visit Overbrook Gardens Website!

Englewood Isles and Overbrook Gardens are at Englewood’s north edge, they border Forked Creek, and have very accessible and fairly deep canals.
Almost all of the canals in Overbrook Gardens have “No-Bridge”,(“Sailboat”) water. The ‘inland’ lots have access to a community boat ramp. Two bridges service the Englewood Isles subdivision and somewhat restrict access to open water for homes bordering the SE loop of the canal. Most of Overbrook is within 2 miles of Manasota Beach, while Englewood Isles is from 3-4 miles. These communities are both located off 776, a 4-lane boulevard, that runs NW to SE from Venice down to Englewood Beach. Shopping is less than 8 minutes to the north (East Venice), and Old Town Englewood (7 minutes to the south). Golfing is very close by, with Courses in almost every direction. I-75 is about 15-20 minutes away, through Jacaranda Blvd, and Sarasota is about 30 minutes to the north.

Since these communities are only ½ mile from the coast, weather remains moderated, with frequent summer breezes to temper the summer heat. Homes range from the mid 100’s to over 1 million as you get closer to the ICW (Intra Costal Waterway). Vacant lots are available in both communities, but waterfront is almost all built-out. The canals and Forked Creek itself, are all “No Wake Zones”, but (depending on where you are) time spent idling the boat to get to the ICW varies from 5 to 25 minutes (from Englewood Isle SE loop). The Forked Creek inlet lies about 8 miles south of Venice Inlet, and 7 miles north of Stump Pass.
